Tic tac toe basketball game: a camp game that shares team roles

A player shoots toward the orange Tic Tac Toe Basketball inflatable while red and yellow balls sit in a row on the grass below its nine white basket targets.

At an Orlando camp, the most confident shooter can easily become the center of a team game. A tic tac toe basketball game offers another role: helping the group choose its next target. Plan turns so campers have opportunities to contribute in different ways.

Start with the board, then add the team plan

Let campers see how the colored balls and target grid work before assigning a competitive format. Once they understand the basics, invite teammates to discuss their next target. Keep suggestions supportive and leave the active player room to focus. The interesting part is adapting to the result of the previous turn.

Rotate roles without slowing the game

A simple order of shooters prevents the most confident campers from taking over. Counselors can help the waiting group follow the board from outside the play area. Keep scorekeeping simple and change groups at the agreed time. The activity should remain easy to enter even for a camper who missed the first explanation.

Plan for the camp's practical rhythm

Build in time for instructions, water and a move to the next station. Share the indoor or outdoor venue details, power location and access route with Mobile Gaming Events. If the Orlando event is outside, confirm the camp's weather decision process. A clear alternate activity helps counselors keep the day organized if plans need to change.

Keep a simple version ready

If a group needs more time to understand the grid, begin with the basic target choice and postpone extra competition rules. Counselors can help explain the objective using the operator's instructions. There is no need to add a complicated scoring layer to every session.
